North & Mark was created to address the all-too-common challenges of winter dressing: combining the form and polish of work-ready outerwear with the function and practicality of technical design. ? As much as we love our technical outerwear, it was clear that wearing a jacket meant for the Antarctic wasn’t always appropriate for the places a day in the city might take us. On the other hand, when temperatures start to drop, and the elements become less forgiving, our standard dress coats left us feeling sorely underdressed for the cold and rain. That’s where we come in. North & Mark re-engineers classic silhouettes— overcoats, peacoats, and car coats, and more — with fabric and insulation innovations traditionally found in performance and technical outerwear.
What do we mean by fabrics, insulation, and technical innovations? Think classically designed silhouettes upgraded for form and functionality. Features like weatherproofing, luxe, 4-way stretch fabrics for ease of movement, and temperature-regulating kits and outerwear consider the key factors in your comfort. We’ve partnered with trusted fabric mills and factories to produce our one-of-a-kind Stormlux™(link to: https://northandmark.com/collections/stormlux) line of outerwear, which features a weatherproof wool-cashmere fabric and Primaloft® insulation for unparalleled warmth and weather protection. Our LuxCore™ (link to: https://northandmark.com/collections/luxcore) line of cashmere blend sweaters combines the luxury and handfeel of cashmere with temperature-regulating and sweat-wicking Climayarn® This technical enhancement to a cornerstone of winter wardrobes keeps you warm without the sacrifice of a polished silhouette.
At North & Mark, we source from the finest fabric mills and factories across the US, Asia, and Europe, and remain on the lookout for new and innovative technologies, fabrics and insulation to make outerwear at the intersection of elevated design and everyday functionality. Of course, there is always an extra cost for that “extra something” — but being a direct-to-consumer brand allows us to take less of a markup, and keeps our pricing in line with (and many times, lower than) traditional outerwear brands that may not have as many features our North & Mark products have. We may never be the cheapest brand out there, but we believe in giving our customers the best value by creating innovative garments that are designed to last.
